LUCAMA, NC – Turkey may be on the menu for Thanksgiving dinner but Southern National Motorsports Park’s Limited Late Model all-stars will be favoring Bojangles’ southern fried chicken.
Bojangles has signed on as the title sponsor of the 75-lap Limited Late Model feature race which will take place on the November 28th at the 4/10-mile oval in Lucama, North Carolina. The Bojangles Limited Late Model feature will pay $1,500 to win and, like the Halloween Spooktacular back in October, the race will be a scuff tire race.
“We’re excited to have Bojangles’ come along and sponsor this event,” Southern National Motorsports Park promoter John Vick said. “Bojangles’ sponsoring this race is great for the drivers in the Limited Late Model division and we obviously hope we can work with Bojangles’ in 2016 to make Southern National Motorsports Park bigger and better than ever.”
Bojangles’ has been a supporter of racing in the Carolinas for many years. Locally, they sponsor the Limited Late Model driven by Alliance, North Carolina veteran racer Rusty Daniels and, on a larger scale, Bojangles is the title sponsor of NASCAR’s Labor Day classic, the Bojangles’ Southern 500 in Darlington, South Carolina.
The Limited Late Model division is a fan favorite division which features some of the best of the always exciting racing Southern National Motorsports Park has to offer. Last year, Tony Grady scored the victory in the Bojangles Limited Late Model feature in the Thanksgiving All-Star Classic. This year, a large field of cars is again expected for the event.
The Bojangles’ Limited Late Model race will be part of the three day Thanksgiving All-Star Classic which will also feature racing for the Late Model Stock Cars, Super Late Models, Southern Lightning Modifieds, Mini-Stock Mayhem, Street Stocks, Chargers, U-CARs, Legends and Bandoleros.
