LUCAMA, NC – Southern National Motorsports Park will host one of its biggest events of the year on Saturday night when Monster Trucks and a monster-sized field of Legends cars invade.
Saturday night will play host to a Monster Truck show that has already generated a great deal of anticipation with residents all over the Raleigh and Greenville area. Monster Trucks will compete in a variety of events including a race and a freestyle event.
Monsters Are Coming
Equalizer, Red Solo Truck, Hurricane Force and Storm Damage are all coming to Southern National on Saturday night and the stage is set for these four monsters to unleash mayhem in the infield. Monster Truck shows are often a favorite with kids and families and everlasting memories will be made on Saturday night.

Monster Experience
Kids will get to experience what it’s like to ride in a Monster Truck thanks to Quality Pre-Owned, Inc. out of Wilson and Hoosier Tire South. Red Rock is already on site at Southern National and ready to take people on a ride. After 7pm, rides will continue at $10 per person.

Monster-Sized Field of Legends
A monster-sized field of Legends cars are set to converge upon the 4/10-mile oval just outside of Kenly, North Carolina. The US Legends Cars/INEX National Qualifier race for the Legends division is paying $1,000-to-win thanks to Kyle Beattie and is expected to draw cars and drivers from all over the region, making it one of the region’s biggest Legends races of the season. The Bandoleros are also in action in a national qualifier with an opportunity to win a free “arrive and drive” experience in a dirt sprint kart at Millbridge Speedway in Salisbury, North Carolina. The sprint kart experience is also made possible by Kyle Beattie Racing.
Bounty Hunters are Coming
The Toyota Celica cars that have dominated in the U-CAR class have a target on their backs. A $500 bounty has been placed on all of the Toyota cars and drivers even from other regions are hoping to take home the bonus.

Ticket prices: $20 for adults, $10 for kids ages 6-12, kids five and under FREE.
Time: Gates open at 5pm, event starts at 7pm.

Mike Darne scored his first win of the 2015 season in the first of two Late Model races, holding back Rusty Daniels and Tyler Matthews. Darne dedicated the win to long-time crew member Tommy Hartman who passed away back in May. Daniels, who has two wins this season at East Carolina Motor Speedway, won the second Late Model race over Darne and third generation racer Kate Dallenbach. Greg Barnett won the Street Stock race, Paul Williamson was awarded his first win in the Charger division, Kailey Murray scored her first Bandolero win of the season after multiple podium finishes, Travis Miller won the U-CAR race and Chris Stancil prevailed in the Legends feature race.

Honoring America’s Bravest
Southern National Motorsports Park will be honoring those who defend the United States of America with the Wounded Warriors Project Night at the Races. The Wounded Warriors Project helps service members who are injured in combat with rehabilitation, financial support and more. The track and the Wounded Warriors Project will be giving free admission to several soldiers from the Carolinas who have been injured in combat as well as their families. The wounded warriors will be honored throughout the evening. The much anticipated Mid-Atlantic Street Stock Championship Series race will headline the on track events. Late Models, Chargers, U-CARs, Legends and Bandoleros will all also be in action.
