LUCAMA, NC – With the Thanksgiving All-Star Classic just days away, sponsors are stepping up in a big way to make this year’s running of the event the biggest ever.
Sunday’s 125 lap, $4,500 Super Late Model race will be sponsored by the Championship Auto Racing Series (CARS) Tour, which emerged in 2015 as the premier Late Model touring series in the region. The CARS Tour, like the Thanksgiving All-Star Classic, runs Late Model Stock Cars and Super Late Models and will visit Southern National Motorsports Park again in 2016.
John West Racing Engines will be sponsoring the $100 halfway bonuses and pole awards for the Super Late Model and Limited Late Model races and the $100 pole award for the Late Model Stock Car race at this weekend’s Thanksgiving All-Star Classic at Southern National Motorsports Park.
Transmedics, out of Raleigh, North Carolina, will be sponsoring the $50 halfway awards for the Charger, Legends, Mini-Stock, Modified, Street Stock and U-CAR races which will take place between Friday and Saturday.
Scott Farms will be posting $500 in lap money for the Super Late Model race and Grafix Unlimited is posting $500 in lap money between the Late Model Stock Car and Super Late Model races.
The Thanksgiving All-Star Classic will kick off on Friday, November 27th with racing for the Bandolero, Street Stock, Charger and Modified divisions. Grandstands on Friday open at 2pm and pre-race ceremonies start at 3:45pm.
