Lucama, NC — The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour makes its first of two stops onto the high banks of Southern National Motorsports Park this Saturday, March 15. Point leader Andy Seuss won the fall event at SNMP, and looks to carry the momentum of last week’s win at Caraway Speedway (NC) to victory lane. Seuss, however, will have to fend off spring SNMP winner Burt Myers, 2013 NWSMT champion George Brunnhoelzl III and some of the top modified drivers in the country. With four different winners in the last NWSMT events at SNMP, and only one wire-to-wire winner at SNMP ever, the 150 lap race promises to be one of the most thrilling races on the Modified Tour calendar.
Saturday’s event will also see the SNMP Limited Late Models and Street Stocks in their first action of the 2014 season. Both divisions 2013 points championships came down to the final race of the season, and the action looks to be just as exciting in 2014.
Gates open at 3:00 PM, with the green flag set to fly at 5:00 PM. March Madness ticket pricing is in effect for this special event, with adult tickets $12, seniors and military $10 (with valid ID), kids 6-15 $6, and children 5 and under free.
