LUCAMA, NC – Southern National Motorsports Park will be hosting a free practice session for all NASCAR and INEX licensed drivers and teams on Saturday.
Saturday’s practice session is in advance of Southern National Motorsports Park’s regular season opener, dubbed the “Spring BreakOut”, which will be held on April 11th. The practice session, free for drivers to run and fans to attend, will be the first opportunity many drivers have had to hit the track this season.
“We’re excited to give the drivers and teams a chance to shake their cars down without having to spend a bunch of money to do so,” said track promoter Langley Austin. “We all know that the drivers and teams will spend everything they can to put on a show for the fans and we’re giving back to them this weekend by giving them a chance to practice for free.”
For drivers and teams, NASCAR licenses will be available to get this weekend at the back sign-in gate. Anyone wishing to attend practice from the infield without a NASCAR license can do so for $20 per person.
For the fans this will be a good chance to come out and see some of the cars that will be competing on a regular basis this season as they get ready for Spring BreakOut.
Pit gates will open at 11am and cars will be on track from 12pm-5pm on Saturday. The open practice is free for fans to watch from the trackside parking area.
