LUCAMA, NC – With Toyota Celica’s dominating the season thus far at Southern National Motorsports Park, track promoter Langley Austin has added a $500 bounty for any other manufacture car to win on Saturday August 15th.
The bounty will fall under normal bounty guidelines meaning a Toyota has to finish competitively and can’t be wrecked. While this bounty is on the line the starting lineups for each race will be determined by qualifying with no invert.
“Those Toyota’s are the class of the field here at Southern National Motorsports Park,” track promoter Langley Austin said. “They’ve won every race so far this season and we’re ready to give the other cars and teams some additional incentive to beat them.”
With $500 additional dollars on the line to the other teams, the Toyota drivers will be looking to defend their turf.
“Travis Miller, Tyler Horne and Buckshot Jones aren’t going to roll over and let anyone just come in and take this bounty money,” Austin remarked. “Those three drivers have combined for six wins in six races. That alone tells you how dominate the Toyota’s have been given that the top three from every race start in the rear of the next event.”
Toyota’s have swept the top three finishing positions in three of the six events this season with 13 top three finishes between four drivers.
“This is going to give a chance for cars to come from all over and take a shot at winning a $500 bounty plus the $300 it already pays to win the feature race,” remarked Austin. “That’s one of the highest purses in U-CAR racing anywhere even before you add in the bounty money.”
The U-CAR division has been one of Southern National Motorsports Park’s strongest divisions featuring solid car counts and spectacular races which are often decided on the last lap.
The U-CAR division will race as part of the Monster Truck Show which also features the US Legends Cars/INEX National Qualifier races presented by Kyle Beattie Racing.
