After a chilly month of March, the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series returns to the high banks of Southern National Motorsports Park for their second race of the 2014 season at the March Madness 290.
In the first event of the season, 2013 track points runner up Tommy Lemons Jr. took one of two wins on the day, while national champion Lee Pulliam raced through the field to win the other. Both drivers had to fight up national points runner up and defending track champion Deac McCaskill and a field full of top-level Late Model Stock drivers.
Lemons Jr., McCaskill and the rest of the SNMP Late Models will battle for 100 laps this Saturday in the first night race of the season. The green flag flies at 7:00 PM, and the night will see a full evening of action, including twin Limited Late Model races, as well as Chargers, Street Stocks, UCARs, Legends and Bandoleros. Grandstands open at 2:00 PM, and tickets are just $12 for adults, $6 for kids 6-15, while children 5 and under are free. Military and seniors are just $10 with valid ID.
