LUCAMA, NC – Southern National Motorsports Park will be hosting a blood drive for the American Red Cross on Saturday, November 28th from 3pm to 7pm.
The blood drive will take place during the Thanksgiving All-Star Classic and Southern National Motorsports Park is encouraging drivers and fans to participate. All presenting donors will receive a Red Cross mixing spoon and celebrity chef recipe set (while supplies last) as part of the American Red Cross' efforts to get people to donate blood during the holiday season.
“The holiday season is a time of shortage of blood for the Red Cross,” Southern National Motorsports Park track promoter John Vick said. “We want to kick off the holiday season by encouraging all our drivers and all our fans at the track to participate in the blood drive and give the gift of life to others.”
Every eight minutes, the American Red Cross responds to an emergency and, according to the Red Cross, one blood donation can save up to three lives.
