LUCAMA, NC – Southern National Motorsports Park’s dirt track will be in action on Saturday with the return of Premier Mega Truck Racing.

The Red Clay Rumble at Southern National will feature side-by-side racing, bracket-style competition and a full afternoon of non-stop mega truck racing.  Saturday’s event marks the second time the Premier Mega Truck Racing tour has come to Southern National.

The Premier Mega Trucks features Super Trucks and Pro Mega Trucks.  Super Trucks are an entry-level division using factory-style axles and components from 1-ton or smaller vehicles, while the Pro Mega Trucks are a high-horsepower class using larger axles and heavy-duty assemblies.

The Premier Mega Trucks, which almost rival a smaller monster truck in appearance, will race two at a time at the dirt complex with up to $15,500 in total payouts up for grabs.

Gates will open at 9:00am while on-track action will get underway at 12:00pm.  Tickets are available online and at the gate for $25, while seniors (55+) and students (age 7-17) get in for $15.  Children six and under are admitted free.  Pit passes are also available.
