Southern National Motorsports Park will roar back to life on Saturday night to begin the fall season, which culminates with two of the most prestigious races of the season in November.

Saturday night marks the opening of the Road to the Classic, featuring the Allison Legacy Race Series, KONI Chargers, INEX Legends in a National Qualifier race, Any Cars, Southern National Vintage Series, and Bandoleros.  Saturday’s race, which goes green at 7:00pm, marks the first of three races that lead into the Thanksgiving Classic, which takes place from November 27 through November 29.

Winners on Saturday night will receive bonus incentives for the Thanksgiving Classic on top of their regular payouts.  The Charger winner will receive a free two-day pit pass for the Thanksgiving Classic.  The Legends winner will have their entry fee waived and be locked into the Legends portion of the Classic.  The Bandolero winner will receive a two-day pit pass for a crew member or parent for the Classic.  Any Car and Vintage Winners will each receive a free transponder for the Classic.

Halloween night will see the second race in the Road to the Classic, the Halloween Spooktacular featuring Late Model Stock Cars in the Ultra Racing Association I-95 Showdown along with KONI Chargers, Any Cars, Southern National Vintage Series, and the East Coast Flathead Ford Racing Association.

Then on November 7, Southern National will host the North-South Shootout for the first time with Tour-Type Modifieds, 602 Modifieds, KONI Chargers, Legend Cars, and Any Cars all in action.  The North-South Shootout has become the most prestigious Modified race in the Southeast with heavy hitters from Bowman Gray Stadium, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, and the SMART Modified Tour competing.

The three fall schedule events build up to the three-day Thanksgiving Classic, Eastern North Carolina’s biggest and most prestigious weekend of racing which closes out the 2026 season before the Christmas holiday and the return of Speedweeks at Southern National in late-Feburary and early-March.

Tickets for Saturday’s Road to the Classic opener are available online and at the gate for $15.  Seniors, military, and students get in for $12, kids 6-12 for $5 and kids five and under free.  A family four-pack (two adults, two kids) is $30.  Trackside parking is available for $30.
